Students in Years K-2 are required to read 30 books. Ten can be 'Choice' books and K-2 students are not required to enter the individual details of their Choice books. Once the '1 to 10 personal choice books' option has been selected at the bottom of the Student Reading Record (SRR), however, users are unable to add any more PRC books (see screen shot, below).
Validating an SRR with the 1-10 personal choice placeholder will not affect a student's eligibility for a PRC certificate.
However, if you would like to continue logging Choice books, users need to:
- click on the Remove button next to the '1 to 10 personal choice books' option
- add the remaining Choice books.
