Once the PRC closes, coordinators are unable to view, add to or validate a student reading record.
To determine if any students have been missed, or to identify which students have completed the PRC, you will need to run the Validated, Not validated and SRR Count reports.
1. Log into the PRC site and click on Reports in the sidebar:
2. Run the Validated report. This report shows you students who have a completed, validated reading record. Any student who appears on this list will receive a certificate in November:
3. Run the Not validated report.
This report provides you with a list of any active student reading records for 2025. These students are not eligible for a certificate.
Please note:
- Students with a Complete but not validated status can be validated without application via the PRC team. Please send us a list of the student names that need to be validated at your school.
- Students with an Incomplete status will show you the numbers of books logged against their reading record. These reading records must be completed before they can be validated. If less than 5 books are missing from the students' reading record, please contact the PRC team with the list of titles missing from their reading record.
- If more than 5 books are missing from the student's reading record: Your principal will need to apply for post-challenge validation via this webform: https://artsunit.nsw.edu.au/program/nsw-premiers-reading-challenge/nsw-premiers-reading-challenge-post-challenge-validation
If a student does not appear on either of these reports: It means their 2025 reading record was not activated (either they did not log in, or no books were added to their record during the 2025 challenge). These students will require a post-challenge validation application in order to receive a certificate.
What certificates will a student receive?
The SRR Count report tallies how many times a student has a completed, validated reading record. This will help you determine who is eligible for a Gold (SRR Count of 4) or Platinum (SRR Count of 7) award.
Please note there is currently no report coordinators can run to determine who is eligible for a PRC medal.
The PRC team can assist identifying who is eligible for a medal.
